INTRODUCING ALEXANDRA ADVENTURERS!

We are excited to announce that Alexandra Adventurers will be opening a breakfast club from the 2nd September as well as extending after school places to all children that attend Alexandra Junior School. Our aim is to provide high quality after school care for children attending Alexandra Junior School.

Alexandra Adventurers will operate in The Lodge, school hall and the school playground, weather permitting. Children will have the chance to interact with peers from different classes, enjoy a variety of games, participate in physical activities, and access a range of toys and games, including board games, role play, arts and crafts, and construction activities.

We want to ensure that children have fun in a safe and nurturing environment where they can socialise with their peers and take part in activities that interest them.

Breakfast will be served from 7.30am in the main school hall for those children who choose to attend the breakfast club. Tea will be served to children at approximately 3.45pm for those attending the after-school club. The school’s caterer, Harrison, will provide our food. A current menu for the after school club can be found at the link below, a breakfast club menu will be available shortly.

Children should be dropped off at the main school entrance and be signed in on arrival. The children attending the breakfast club will be escorted to the playground at 8.30 am for supervised play, they will then line up, as usual, at 8.45 am in time for the start of school.

After school, the children will be registered by a member of club staff after being dismissed by their teacher from class.

 

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

To request a space for your child(ren), please complete the electronic registration and booking forms using the links below. You must complete one form per child. Both forms must be completed to secure a place at the club.

Please note if your child already attends the after-school club, you do not need to complete a new registration form unless your details have since changed.

Places at the Alexandra Adventurers are limited and we would recommend booking early. Confirmation of a place will only be given upon receipt of the above forms. Registration forms for places starting on the 2nd September need to be completed by Monday 23rd June.

Please note that places at the club will be allocated in the following priority order:

  • Siblings of children already attending the club
  • Children currently on the waiting list
  • Children already attending Alexandra Adventurers at the Infant or Junior School requiring additional days
  • All other applications will be processed and allocated a place in the order in which they are received

 

PAYMENTS

Invoices will be issued at the end of each school half term. To ensure your child's space within the club, payment must be received by the due date.

If you are unable to make the full payment by the due date, please contact the club administrator to discuss alternative payment options.

We are registered with the HMRC tax-free childcare scheme and accept Childcare vouchers from the following providers:

If your employer uses a different childcare voucher provider, please indicate this on your registration form or contact us at adventurers@nestschools.org.

Payments can be made by bank transfer or childcare voucher. Please note that we are unable to accept cheques or cash for Alexandra Adventurers.

Your invoices will contain a unique reference so that we are able to identify your payment. Please do not send any payments via childcare vouchers or using any other method until we have issued your invoice as we may not be able to match your payment.

 

CLUB STAFF AND CONTACT DETAILS

The Alexandra Adventurers club is overseen by trained staff, each of whom will have an enhanced DBS check and a paediatric first aid qualification. Although the club is included under the school’s Ofsted registration, it has its own contact details and its own management structure. Additionally, the club follows its own registration procedures and maintains separate documentation.
